SOME VOICES, the UK’s most exciting non-audition pop choir, started in 2010 in London with just seven choir members meeting up to sing and socialise. This has grown to over 1,000 members meeting in 9 rehearsal venues including York led by Hannah.

Some Voices has developed a signature style of performing original arrangements of popular songs, ranging from Bowie to Bjork, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Nicks, from Folk to Hip Hop, and everything in between – all with a Some Voices twist.

York Musical Theatre Choir

Singing in a choir is just endlessly beneficial to our mental health and well-being. Largely due to the increase in the positive neurochemicals we experience whilst singing but also the social aspect of a choir – that sense of belonging and community. Choirs have a built in camaraderie simply because of the nature of the activity. Plus it’s just really good fun being in a choir and what could be better than belting out all the best Musical Theatre songs in harmony, right!?
